how do u remove this?

i think this is stupid but how do u remove this wireframe...
i tried everything but it doesnt go and when i move the vertices what in the picture happens...

select it, right click/hold, and go to standard, it should remove that

already did that nothing happens...

go to window-> OUTLINER click the 'Display' menu and make sure 'shapes' is ticked, expand the grouping for that geometry name
and there will be something there relating to 'history'
select it and the dead cage will light up green


then in the OUTLINER panel delete it

there might be an easier, way but this is the only one I know.

if it were modeled from a sphere, say, then it would be called

"subdivSphere1ShapeHistPoly", thats the one to delete.
