Games made on Maya

Not sure if this section is the place for this post, but... :mingun:

Do you people know some of the games made on Maya? I was just curious since I knew that Gran Turismo 3 was made on it.

A lot of the latest Star Wars games are in Maya. I believe Summoner was, but I'm not sure about that one. I don't know if the in-game stuff was, but the movies for Final Fantasy. Asheron's Call 2, the Madden football games, etc....

There are a lot of companies making the switch, now that the price has dropped considerably. 3DS Max is probably still the most widely used in video games, but Maya is becoming a close second, i think. user added image

to NEM

I thing that Maya shall not overwhelm other software packages in game developement. Many game developers use 3D Max, Lightwave, etc. ... For example: Blizzard Entertainment uses 3D Max and they make not good but excellent games ...

software packages are all just tools... that Blizzard makes awesome games is more a result of their talent rather than what software they use. user added image

Yah, Maya is totally making its mark.

I'm just finishing up my college year, where I was
studying 3d design for video games, and we only
learned Maya. I was taught on Max first, but Maya
is so much more awesome. The only downfall with
video games, is limited poly count on models.. user added image
lol. But who cares, I'll be making video games soon.
