Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

MY GOD! all the images on page 6 except for the last one look really deformed, I couldn't see it before, I guess thats why i took a break, so i could see these things....

any way some new pics - https://elephantanimations.110mb.com/

the main difference is the addition of toes but their are quite a lot of tiny differences, I hope to get a lot more done tomorrow as i have nothing planned

It really seems like im not getting anywhere with this but then i look back at the old posts and well....

Toes don't look too bad. A little too hard edged if you will.
Also notice the nasty skin between the rear left leg and the body. That just looks wrong.

with the toes I've also noticed some foot deformation around the tops of the toes. While it would look like there is some movement in the structure of the foot on an elephant, there doesn't appear to be so much deformation.

That was probably a brutal explanation of things but ask for it clearer and I shall try.

Please don't take this as a bashing, but I hope you're only modeling half of the elephant for one, but it doesn't seem like there is a whole lot of progress on this guy beyond the toes.
If you did all 4 feet, I think you might want to consider chopping this thing in half and mirroring it over when all is done.
Anywho, keep it up good sir.

I only modeled on half and mirrored it (in fact i only modeled 1 foot and copied it)

I think i have lost interest with this model, i might just UV map it now or leave it......

around the eye area the bump mapping looks pretty good, but then around the trunk and the mouth it looks stretched or not of a high enough resolution - you can see the pixelation.
