This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i
have some problems with the uv mapping. This is the first time i UV map....and it's really time consuming at the moment.
Yesterday i finished the uv mapping and took a snapshot from the House part...but there was something wrong....some uv's are not nice and clean...so my texture was going off target.
Searching for the uv's which causing the problem today.
I hope i can show you some updates in the next days.
Hey Galadiel - how is it in Germany? Great work on the haunted house so far - it's looking very cool!
I haven't done Kurt's tutorial so I am not sure how he maps the UVs, but you usually have to spend quite a bit of time rearranging them in the UV texture editor before you take a snapshot. It can be a bit time consuming, but once you start texturing, you will see how it works.
Thank you for all your answers. I must become familiar with the UV layout first. It's the first time for me. I have rearranged them within a couple of hours. The whole process took me 20 hours or so. (i hope that was correct english now ;o)
