Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Image plane question

I have imported two image planes into Maya and they are the front and side view of a craft.

The side view is slightly larger than the front view. Is there a way to change the size in maya or do I need to load of the pic into Photoshop and adjust there?

Thanks.

the easiest and most exact way would be with Photoshop.

Ok, I would of said to just scale down your plane with the image on it a bit user added image.... but the way mike said would of course give you a better image. One thing Hidalgo.. If you take one image of the object in photoshop.. then save it at the size you want... then open your other image and copy it into the first images file.. adjust the layer with the opacity down to get it exact with the layer below (your first object refrence).. then bring the opacity back up and save that and it will be an exact refrence. I dont know if you do this or not, but the opacity thing for me works wonders user added image.

Thanks, )v(. I've been tinkering with that for the last few minutes. Am doing the opacity-layer thing right now. Still trying to get it just right though...must be low on patience...feel like putting my fist through the monitor right now...

I'm "ok" at Photoshop...but that's about it.

Ok...

I got them the same size but now I need to adjust the heighth of one of the planes in the perspective view..to match the position of the other view.

Is that possible?

Or am I messing myself up again?
