Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Screen redraw

is there anyway to improve the screen redraw, I have maya running on a laptop that's dual core and has a 128 meg card in it. its fine with every other app but maya.

Help, how can Set may so that it refreshes or redraws the screen correctly?

many thanks

Pressing 4 will turn off any shading, and pressing 1 will use fewer facets (on nurbs objects) to preview within the views.

You could also use groups to group similar objects, and then turn off other groups while you're not working on them.

That's all I can think of.
