You are doing a pretty darn good job of modeling off of those photos. Keep it up!

Can't wait to see more.

cheers guys.

it isn't going be exactly identical to the models, but I ain't good enough to achieve that.

cheers for that toon thing wicket -will def give it a shot to see how it looks.

I might have to leave it blocky cause most of the parts are separate and the little bolts don't stay connected when I smooth the torso user added image(((( see how it goes tho.

cheers again

well done a bit more. Just noticed that the little bolts around the bottom look strange. It looked okay while tweaking but the spacing looks off now - will add some more in to sort that out.

Front and back - back looks a little bland, and isn't anyhting like the plastic model -might have to add some more detail there.

cheers for and C&C

Great effort cb8rwh... this is really really cool. Now, for your bolts, are those just squished circles? Or did you actually extrude that from your mesh? Like, how many pieces do you have so far? I am really liking this user added image, great model. BTW, i really like your renders, how are you getting the burnt almond look... GI_Joe? And if it is GI_Joe, is it default grey, with settings in gi_joe, or have you tweaked the color of the material on the model?... just wondering.

cheers guys,

m - all the surfaces are just shaded with a blinn, and coloured brown. more or less default settings in gi_joe - just changed the skylight to closer towhite and slightly darker.

There are quite a few different surfaces. The bolts are tweaked poly cylinders user added image( Is this a bad thing to do?

mtm - pity its going to have loads more polys than yours user added image i aint the most economical modeller everuser added image
