How do I create Fireballs?

Could someone help me and tell me how i should to to create fireball?

lots of possibilities, ranging from paint fx to particles to fluid fx.

Easiest way would be to make the "ball" part of the fireball first, texture it with a magma-like surface and add particle fx flame and smoke with maybe some sparks and debris.

all of the above possibilities are pretty cpu intensive. Particles maybe being the least. Keep that in mind. Have fun and experiment and tweak a lot.

I think a bouning fireball was one of my first projects. Dead easy
