how to compose the particles into the film?

en,I use Hardware rendered the particles ,from fire.001.iff to fire.200.iff,(the alpha source choice hardware alpha)
and I use vegas4.0 compose software, then,how to put that series picture into the vegas?
if vegas cant read the iff ,how about use gif or others?

render as tiffs instead of iffs then you wont have a problem. iff's are maya's own format that othert programs wont necessarily read.

if I got a series of tiff....then how can I put them into the compose software as a video frequency?

the composite software can import that image series into the film.
this is a composite software's question.not the maya's .

I doning a practice about compositing maya particles into the video taken by dv.
a scene of a human burst out a fireball.
