Default Wires

since I'm not a modeler (never had the patience, heh)..I'll allow myself to ask a question

How to make a wire running from point A to point B? I'm not talking about simple Lofted NURBS... I'm talking about real wire, for example that is heavily riveted along it's path..

I could do it as a NURBS and then displacementmap on it.. but is there a way to make it with polygons only - from the get go?

Also, anyone knows if there is a polygon NGon primitive script to download somewhere, or I'll have to write my own? You know, like disc primitive in Lightwave

Thanks -
