Talking first attempt at modeling

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to Maya and this is the first real attempt at modeling something I've done. Hopefully someone will recogize what it is. Any feedback is very welcome. I used mostly Nurbs.

Must be one of those Nubian can-openers.

Anyway, it seems to me that you aspire to make some interesting models. Nurbs stuff is exsiting!
