for some reason it looks more like a bear to me than a cougar. i think it's the placement and size of the eyes. also i don't think cats have that much of a snout... it's more rounded in the front.

Cougars tend to have a longer, broad, and narrower snout, and the head also tends to be not as round and robust but more elongated. Maybe try using some refs.

the geometry around the bottom lip also needs work.

lol, yeah i know. I think he was talking about the cats though.

btw, it looks more like a bear. Bring the eyes out a bit so they're not so sunken in and extend the snout
