Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Clothing for characters

Noob question:

I've started dioing a hi-res animation. I'm still in te modelig phase. Is it better to model the character clothing manually or is Maya Cloth actually any good. Does maya cloth allow you to change the thickness of the material to make something thick like wool, or something thin like silk?

What would be thee way to go?
