u mean the tutorial in maya unlimited?
i am using version 6 and i did that tutorial

ya, the video tutorial provided by maya.
i did the bouncing ball, it is basically select an object and press the "S" key to save the state of the selected object. then move to different frame, do some modification on the object and save the state using "S" key

i attached the bouncing ball on below.

i got CD from friend when i went to his office ~ version 6, guess is old, so he gave me. lol, he did lots simple movie production but he seemed failed to learn this 3D thingy.

i am using P4 2.5+ with 512 ddr RAM, maybe i would add some RAM soon :p
