This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Extrude Edges Issue(s)

user added image

I can't seem to figure out how to extrude properly without using global mode. Im trying to pull left so that everything goes in the proper direction. It seems that it only does what I want when it's in global mode. But I can't use global for the particular shape.

I want a result simular to this, but it'd be a pain in the ass to realign the points all over again.

the reason they do that is because you are using the manipulator that happens when you extrude. When you are extruding just one edge, you can do that. Otherwise, just press the move button or press W and use that one.

Edit! Solved my problem.

Solution: Modelling tab -> Polygons -> Tool Options -> "Keep faces together"
