Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

no z-depth

whatever I do, maya doesn´t create a z-depth file.

camera output settings: renderable/depth activated
render_Globals: zdepth channel activated

files I saved: tga/tiff

what else can it be?

everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.

Dunno mate as i've been having the same problem even after doing everything that the help file suggests....

Hope some one figures it out for both of us!

P.S If you find it out could you e-mail or PM me with the method you used!

Cheers

you need to do a batch render. even if its for just 1 frame.

so if u a a depth for frame 1 batch from 1 to 1

thx flad! after going nuts I just wanted to batch render without z-depth - and voíla!

something else if anybody needs to know. when rendering with a lightfog you don´t get a alpha channel from your scene. render objects without fog to get alpha. this was the second thing which drove me crazy today.

fancy looking apeFace btw vlad!
