Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

minke whale

Hi everyone. Long time no post.

Thought i would start a small animation of a whale, with some reef sharks swimming around to show the size of the whale.
Planning on modeling some fish, and a few jelly fish as well. Still got little more work on the lighting i think.

There's nothing normal about normals. In FACT i think the are abnormal.

Very interesting choice of model! I don't think I've ever seen anyone model a whale here before! Do please keep us posted!

Update update, that's an order lol.
I know lighting is an artform on its own, but it would be so cool if you can nail the serene underwater scene look with light and shadow really showing off the form of this majestic animal.

Can't wait to see it with the planned additions for scale user added image
