Red face Leaf frog climbing, How to?

Hi all,

I have a scene in mind whereby a leaf frog is climbing up the plant and when it climbs up the branches , the branches bend slighty under its weight.

finally when it reaches the top leaf part of the leaf bends under its weight. Possible solution I can think of is using soft bodies but Im not sure how to go about doing it.

Anyone can give me some possible solution? I will be eternally grateful I have attached a clip from Hope it helps

BTW, Im using maya ver 7. unlimited

although I've never really used either, I'd reccommend using a 'bend' (I believe its actually called that, or used to be) deformer. It should give you a little more control over the way the leaf and branches bend (I think....). Also, I believe softbodies are usually used during dynamic simulations - in other words, when things run into them, and stuff - you'd have to make the frog have 'weight' - he'd actually have to be affected by gravity, etc, for that to work. (I think...)
