Default lights and colors

Hey,
When I use any lights my colors don't show. If I want to see colors I need to turn the lights off. But if I do this then I can't see the shine if I use a Blinn material.

How do we fix this?

Thanks

Check your custom polygon display options located in ---Display/ Custom Polygon display. There might be an option that is checked or unchecked thats causing the problem. I wish I could be more help.

In your shading group attributes there is a selection called Use Default Material. If it is checked then uncheck it, and see what happens. I kinda suspect that you have duplicated your object with the Use Default Material selected. Do you also have both objects selected in the pic?

Here is a pic of the attribute that I'm talking about.

I'm asking you to turn the setting off if it was on, and see if anything happened. Anyway, have you ever tried to reinstall the application and see if it happens again?
