Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Mirror and instance

Hey,

I have a model and it is in half along the x axis. I want to mirror the geometry and smooth the mirrored geometry and have it update when I edit the original geometry. Can someone tellme how to do this?

(Polys by the way).

I tried the mirror tool but when I smoothed the original geometry it smoothed the original as well.

Thanks.

Hey,

I didn't think you could move out the smoothed geometry with proxy. At least you wasn't to rude when I said you don't understand me.

Thanks for your help matey.
