Blue edges in kurt's guides?

Does anyone know how to get the blue edges on objects in maya like kurt has in his many tutorials? It just seems to make everything easier to see with the thick blue lines seperating objects.
Thanks in advance!

sounds like border edges to me. its in the settings and preferences, you'll probably want to thicken the lines
