need help with character design

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to design a character for an animation project but am having trouble making it look...well...good. Would really appreciate anyone's opinion on how to make it look better. Character design really isn't a strong point of mine!

Thanks in advance

Simon

YOu should actually draw the chara. first. or have a reference image. its imp to know what you want your character to look like. and the feel like his nature and his role in the animation. then you should proceed to model. while modelling you can start experimenting but without a reference its difficult. only then you can proceed to fit the right textures etc.

the char. you have right now i feel fits a cartoon character. you could try adding nurbs hair to him. not realistic hair mayb the nurb variety will match more. his clothes could be bright colours. etc. give him nice sneaker type shoes...

just a few suggestions....hope it helps
