Default Creating shapes question...

Hi there

When I click on polygon primitive or nurbs primitive or any object creating button, it always flicks to a cursor where I have to click and drag to create and size the object. In all the tutorials I've watched, one click creates a standard sized object at the origin. Can I make this happen also?

I truly hate that pesky mode!

It's like one of the Max developers snuck into the wrong offices at Autodesk and added pants features.
