Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Extendability, security, and stability. Ok, it crashes sometimes, but almost all the time, restores quickly and easily. Ad-block is a huuuge plus. Customizability. Works on all OSes. First to do tabbed-browsing, which I can't live without (exaggeration). Fast. Undo close tab! Personas.

I haven't used all other browsers, to be honest, but I like my firefox.

hh I also prefer to use chrome however, I have to resort to firefox for some things like uploading to photobucket because chrome is not on their supported browser list. There are tricks to fool PB and other sites to recognize chrome as some other supported browser but that causes a hole other list of problems.

I still prefer chrome as my primary browser though because it has a clean simple interface and is fast fast fast I mean really fast!

Yeah, chrome is faster, but it doesn't have the extensibility of firefox, and some parts of the interface bugged me, like the download manager, being used to firefox and all. I guess it's fair to say that many people use a couple different browsers, depending on the task.

Jealous... how much are they anyway for a basic kit, brain, lens, memory, you know, whatever you need to shoot some stuff.

Super cool. I was thinking in the $20K+ range, but maybe the Epic is more like that. Ah well, I'll keep playing with my Standard Def Canon ZR1000, haha.

I'm waiting till dSLRs do 1080p at 60+ fps and then I'll get myself one of those for multi-purpose use. I know it's not as good as a dedicated video cam, but I'd rather have both still camera and video camera as one unit to make things cheaper and more versatile.

Steve when you extract the footage from a RED ,as well as the Raw file it also makes you a couple of lower res versions so you can play with say the 1 or 2 k version to set up what you need and then just exchange the 4 k on the final comp or edit. Also try using REDCine free from the Red Site for the the edit before saving out for post.
