Avatar - Freestyle

Hi, everyone,

Here is a preliminary character animation of self avatar for my new reel this year. Since I love the movie so much, I was thinking what a 3 meters guy can do if I have my own avatar. And here comes some fun ideas in my mind~ How about cool Rap and Basketball

So I made this animation recently to mimic the Nike freestyle series.
I would like to share some snapshots in my first post in this forum. The full animation can be found in the following links, Thanks for watching. Hope you like it!

The whole work tooks about three months, and main workflow of this animation includes:

- modelling, texturing: maya, zbrush, photoshop
- rigging & animation (face, body, hands): maya, motion builder, vicon MoCap system
- simulation (hair, braid, tail, ball, etc): maya
- render: mental ray
- composition: After effects, Premiere

Sweet man, that's really well done. I gave you a thumbs up user added image
... and you say preliminary animation? Wow! Looks done to me. (Though maybe a little bit of slipping on the floor, but maybe that's natural, I don't know how sticky avatar feet are)

Great work man!

Murambi, Yeah mo cap was used, hence the vicon system and, probably, motionbuilder for the clean up and application.
