wrap around

hi all,

having real problems getting my head round modelling a bracelet.
I want to create someting that wraps over itself but then has rounded edges and holes in it. I've attached a simplified jpeg of what I want. Any help would be great.

draw the shape from the end and extrude it, then modify the vertices so you get the roundings ..
