How to reset the persp camera?

Well, I was using the camera shortcuts (I only just learnt them), and... I lost the camera :o

How do I reset the perspective camera?

You can View > Select Camera and type in coordinates in your channel box if nothing else works.

I believe there's also a View > "Reset Position" command or something similar... I do not have Maya open at the moment to validate...

Ok thnx I fixed it using the camera bookmark

One more question, how to I make a "rear" camera?

I mean, the default Orthographic cameras are Front, Side, and Top.

I want a rear one (same as front, but looking from the other direction).

???

Resetting the perspective (persp) camera

Sometimes the persp cam loses the ability to rotate around a framed object, here's how to fix this:

Maya 2012

Select

View > Default view

This will take your camera to 3/4 view of the world origin.
