Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

hi there guys and girls!
im maya newbie! learning 4.5 complete at my friends studio and going to buy maya 5 complete. am on os x. hope i will find a lot of answers in this forums user added image

i find maya preatty easy to learn... what do u think?

answers you will get for sure here!!

maya has a very intuitive ui and that helps alot while learning this sw. but there are allways many other ways to do something and realy hard is to know which way is the best.

thanks for quick reply.

maya starts to amaze me. in no minutes ive found out how to create uv maps and mix textures with hypershade. it's intuitive as hell!!!

could u point me to some urls where i could find some interesting tutorials and galleries/animations?

Iwhen I first began to look around among the 3D programs... I must say I found that Maya had the most user friendly GUI... and the more I work with Maya the more I love it... user added image

I can also recommend you this book... "Maya® 4.5 Savvy"...
I have just brought it this weekend, and I must say it is a very good book... user added image
