I'm new here, just got the custom shaders in mental ray up and running, but they seem to crash anytime I use them. Specifically I was trying to apply a lens shader on the camera as it outlines in this tutorial, but Maya 5.0 crashes everytime.
How do I actually "Assign" mental ray shaders in maya without the software crashing when I do a test render? I also tried to make use of the "contour" shaders and whotnot, but have no idea what to do with them.
Sorry if its a bit of a silly question. I just must be missing something.
