Raytracing Problem

I want to do something very simple, but ...

i got a light (raytrace on) and a semi-transparent surface with a file textur.

BUT: The Raytraced Shadow is just black, the rays do not take up the color of the surface, so that i could have an colored shadow ...

What am i doing wrong or how shall i do it? tried now for half a hour and all i got, was an black-and-white projection of my semi-transparent surface, but no colors!

Please Help
Thanks!

map the file texture to the transparency of your material.
create an environmentSphere, map the file texture to the image of your envSphere, map the outColor of the envSphere to the shadow color of your light.
or you can try my scene file.
