Also guys, no need to attack NERDboy, up until recently, PLE was maya 4.5, and I never knew that it had gone to maya 5. Thanks for the heads up NERDboy, and welcome to simplymaya.

Anyone know why they changed domain name, besides the fact that alias.com is easier to remember? Has the company changed names? I bet there are a bunch of alias(the TV show) fans out there who aren't happen that they can't use alias.com for a fan site :p

You can get Maya PLE 5.0 now if you go out and buy 'Learning Maya - Beginner's Guide' for US$19.99 which includes a one hour DVD learning guide and booklet.

Here's the URL:

http://store.aliaswavefront.com/dr/v...P=0&CACHE_ID=0

Bit cheeky to charge (?) but then again you do get a DVD with it - I dunno what it is like though

They were called Alias, then Alias | Wavefront, and now they've simply reverted back to the original name. Oh, and the've had it for somthing like 20 years.
