Well as for now, i dont believe there's a true SSS solution available for us Maya users user added image . www.lightengine3d.com has a beta test of a plugin that alows SSS through a new shader, but it is limited to one lightsource and a 320*240 (or something like that) output resolution. I found it was possible to fake it, (with fast render times, that image might have taken 3 mins i think) using mental rays volumetric shaders. :

damn......ok.......I found a tut on sss, But my mental ray isnt showing up, so ill have to figure something out.
