Single-Vertex Control Question

Okay, this'll sound so n00bie it will HURT YOU.... but I can't figure it out...

Let's say I'm editing a polygon or a subdive in polygon mode.

I want to see the exact world coordinates of a particular vertex point, and edit it.

Any help is much appreciated.
