Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

A request

Hi, I was wondering where i'd be able to find a prebuilt human model. I was going to make one for a project we are doing but just haven't had time. Now before anyone tries to tell me that i should be doing my own work for this project, it's a website that we are doing for a (pretend) client & we are allowed to either find or create our own assets for the project.

A normal human model would be good, but a kinda of cartoonish one would be a little better as there is a bit of humour on the site. Also, it would need to be a male without genitals ... story behind that is that this fella was created not born.

So if anyone could point me in the right direction or if they have a model i could use i'd really appreciate it.

if youre looking for free models then probably the best place to look would be 3dcafe.com, though I guess the quality isnt going to be too great. Also A|W's website might be worth checking out. If you dont mind paying then try turbosquid.com - theyve got thousands of models to download but you usually have to pay for anything half decent (see the pattern forming here user added image ). lastly you could buy Poser - the app gets slated alot by "l33t" 3dpeople but it has its uses..
good luck

I can't remember if it was the Viewpoint models, but at their site they offer free models, one is a cartoonish guy named Al.

Convulsing my frame and cracking my bones
Hell's dragons of steel who roar in their chains
Crawl into my caves to suck out my veins.....

You might also want to check at 3d Total. Not sure if they are 'complete with parts' there or not though. user added image

However, please note that that model is for instructional purposes only and it is prohibited to be used as work for anyone else's "portfolio" or other such projects!!

This might help...

Not sure if there are genitals, but at zoorender.com, they have a model called "Adam" you can download.

Not sure on the copyright, so you might wanna check that!

I used it a day ago for trying out Mt. Mkinley's <-sp? arm stitching tut.

BTW, what a KICK ASS tut man!!!!
It explains all!

Thanks, and I hope that helps.
remember to check about copyright!!!
