Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Thanks guys, user added image
I am hoping to rig him if I have the time.

I still want to fine tune those textures a little too.
(Gun turrets indeed, made me laugh user added image )
I think it's a bit too busy perhaps, might simplify
the legs and arms a little.

Hey there, I think I just spotted a minor issue with this guy: (He doesn't have any neck?) Looks a bit strange with his chin stuck up right on this chest? (Especially on the side shot). Just a personal opinion, that's all, otherwise it's fantastic!

Cheers Happylemon.

He does have a neck although it is pretty much hidden
by his collar. Since you've pointed it out though I may try
and stretch it a little and see how it looks.

Thanks again user added image

Excellent, going with the contrasting boots was a good call I think.

Lanky female sidekick

Here's my second model, pretty much complete
bar optimising it. She does'nt seem quite as
in keeping with the other design just yet, but that
should change with the texturing.

Also added a dress but it takes the poly count just 150
over the limit, so unless I can trim it down enough
without losing shape I may have to ditch it.

Oh and one more quick thing, I just wanted to say how
impresed I am with the quality of work going on for
the challenge. I don't get as much time as I would like
for posting responses. The standards are very high and it
provides me with plenty of insperation and encouragement
to participate. user added image cheers everyone

Nice work, I think she fits well with the female support unit part of the concept, particularly if the colour scheme ties in. Very nice modelling too! Can't wait to see her textured, quality stuff.
