Emergency question Batch render

Hello!
Can anyone tell me quickly if can quit Maya while my batch render is pushing out an AVI file, will the batch stop?

You can safely quit Maya when you've initiated a batch render. It will not stop the batch. However if you later decide to cancel the batch, your only option is to kill it via the task manager (in windows).
