Im quite interested in how you do not just model off of one refrence, but do a lot of research and find out how it is supposed to be modelled, from views of dogs and probably bat wings of some kind in the future. Keep it up, looking great!.

M, I'm kinda making it up as I go along. I have no idea of the right and wrong ways of doing this stuff. I'm just doing it.

Cyrius, I modelled it with Subds. It's almost exactly the same as the dog tutorial on this site, just a different shape.

However, I have run into a slight problem. The head wasnt looking right so I have deleted all the face that were wrong. How can i make a new face to extrude from again?

you could extrude the edges instead of creating anew face, alternatively (i am not sure about this) using the append poly tool to create a poly along the three edges, then extrude the face it creates.

cheers

I sorted that out by cheating. I just moved the front of it's nose back toward the rest of it's face then split that face, extruded it and turned it into "Duck Dog!"

"Duck Dog" was a terrible mistake. Anyway, I have been working on this again tonight. And have done a fair bit which i am happy with.

Firstly, I have added some ribs. To make it look skinny and underfed.

Here's the wire.

I did all that a few hours ago but had lost net connection for sometime. So, I was unable to post them.

Here is where I am at now. I got lucky with the ears this time. I just grab a vertex and pulled it some way and better ear shape appeared. I worked it a little and now I think I have a good rough shape going.

oh and I also reshaped the body, neck and head a little to make it less boxy.

I'm sure you don't really want to know every tiny detail about this, but I honestly have nothing better to do. So here we go.

I've been working on the ears some more. They will do for now. This is all going far better than I expected.
