Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Thanks Zyk0tiK, Drozador and dockode.

xian, No he does not have teeth and he is not rigged yet. I have to admit his mesh is a little heavy even on the presmoothed version. It is giving me second thoughts on weither I am going to finish this model. I learned from my mistakes when I made the person for my jeep. That one the polies are very easy to work with. I have an idea for like shark serated teeth that are semi transparent but I have not started them and do not know if I will continue. I could always try to rebuild those parts lower poly??? I have to decide. I am in the process of looking into going to an art school to get a better education in maya and max so I do not have all that much free time right now.

High poly's isn't nessercerily a bad thing though. You can do photorealism with low poly's, nor can you do games with a large number of poly's.

Here are some updates. Thanks for all your replies. Heavy models do alow for some great detail at a price for speed.

I gave him the red eyes that cold fish, hehm, Ice Queen sudjested. They are not dark enough though. Thank, it will look good I think.
