Nov/Dec - Creature - Film noir - Lonepig - Noob

Well I think its time to attempt a challenge, i've been lurking in the background for too long. Think i'll try and model a orc in a film noir style. Just think Bogart.

Well due to various reason's i've barely done any work on Mr Orcy. So today i've managed to extract the digit and get on with some modeling. Need to add some extra detail in way of scar, winkles and big pointy teeth. but am quite happy with it as a basic head.

Nothing for days then 3 updates in no time. The boys gone mad!!!

Ear finished and attached, some detail added to eyes and nose. Just need to add mouth and asymetric detail and that should be the head modelling done.

Thanks Pony, i've been re-reading the brief and am concerned that its just a bit to "nice" and friendly looking for an orc. I think its looking a little to simian'ish as well. Am considering re-working it to try and make it more nasty and orcish.

np. well maybe you could like rais the outside of the eye brows up some. and thin you could rais up on the mouth about half way on eather side, make it like a dog snarel.. That might do the trick..

A few minor alterations. Have compacted the top of the head down, got a bit of a hard edge n a crease but that should come out fairly easy. A bit more detailing on the eye lids and mouth. Not 100% happy with the mouth, ment to be indentations for teeth but just can't get the right look.
Have started to make the mouth cavity as well. I think I really need to move alot faster if i'm gona have a hope of finishing in time.

oooh laala, I think the problem is the huge eyes, orcs tend to have narrower eyes to make them more evil looking, other than that superb user added image

I am not worthy!
