Get started with low polygon modeling for games in Maya. In this tutorial we look at how to create a low polygon man. It's a good beginner project if you're quite new to modeling in Maya. We set a limit of 2500 polygons, and use the common polygon modeling tools to block out the basic shapes that make up our character. When the base mesh is complete we move onto creating clothes, shoes and a belt. By the end of this project you'll have the skills to create your own low poly characters in Maya.
