Tutorial Overview

Learn to UV map and texture paint characters in Maya with this project. We start by laying out the UV's for the T-Rex, before moving into Photoshop for texture painting. Here we look at getting good color variation, and how to make the reptile skin more realistic with the help of bump maps. We also look at getting control of the highlights with a spec map. Finally we bring everything together in Maya. We also create an eye with procedural textures.
