Hi all, time for a bit of fun....

The other day I was checking out MasterYoda's transformer comp entry - http://forum.simplymaya.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21112&perpage=15&pagenumber=1

I asked him if it transforms and he said his system wasn't up to the task :( . So I offered to take a crack at it and the wise old jedi said 'YES'!! :attn:

So I've got the model and I start playing with it today.

Wish me luck (I'll need it)

yep, i let him play with my model, as with my pc its impossible to animate him. so don't worry folks, he's aproved by the old jedi master to use it :) and thanks to him i'll see my creation come to life :)

off you go tiddles and good luck ;)

May the force be with you!

Thanks Yoda ;)

Ok 1st up, here are a couple of quick renders showing the car & robot stages with some simple color textures.

Both renders are mentalray (although lights may be a little bright)

I played with the hands a little - to give them that cool Megatron feel. Fully articulated...

I said "articulated" not "articulate" LOL

::UPDATE::

1st animation test. This is car driving on test track. I'm trying to get the wheels and the track to work together (let's hope he stops before the track runs out - LOL)

You have to imagine the sound of a big diesel truck as it pumps out think black smoke from the stacks each side of his head.

Comments more than welcome :)

Ha ha - Really great work so far Tiddles - I like the head wobble in the walk cycle and the animation of the car on the test track is excellent. It's also good to see someone take another person's project and run with it. Well done!

@ arran - thanks m8, I really am enjoying workin on this.
@ 13th_resident - yeah! he really is a rude bugger, aint he? :D
@ Yoda - I've checked the model again & again but I still can't find that missing bolt in his neck... Tell you what; You model it and I'll install it :lmao:

So, wanna see a little transforming test? Only 1 arm at this stage as I'm still trying to work out how to fit all his bits inside that tiny Audi...
