Ojne thing I would advice is to make them seamless. This is quite important for tiled textures. They look good and would be handy for anyone.

Wow nice one. Funny coz my animation I'm working on now for uni is set in the Australian bush ;) Where abouts is that too? Really nice place and it's a shame I haven't seen areas with crazy red dirt like that before :( Damn green lush Victoria to Canberra ;)

Lazy boy!! LOL
Mirek: This is most generous of you. Perhaps a section of texture downloads would be good here too. A link to a zip with higher res images would be cool for peeps to download.
I shall talk to David

goodness, i didn't think anyone would be interested?? I just thought maybe some Ozzy textures would be nice for people who have never been here.
the snake, yes that was very sad. I drove past and thought it would make a nice texture (the scales) but when i parked and walked back to it, it was still alive. I quickly took those photos (it was alive when they were taken) and picked it up by the tail and smashed its head into the road on compassionate grounds. (being a bit of a bush boy, most Ozzy's are scared, though they may not admit it, that is why the idiot ran over it and you can guarantee it was hit on purpose. its a bit of a national sport and people actually brag about this pointless killing)
where was it? It was at a bird sanctuary called 'Glue Pot' (its true, what a name) it was past Murry bridge on the way to Victoria and well past, a 6 hour drive from Adelaide so i guess it may be by the border somewhere. Very beautiful land in its own right. I prefer the lushness of Mt Warning, Nimbin, Byron Bay and surrounding areas but 'Glue Pot' was very nice. its called glue pot because the the red dirt has a lot of clay under it and when it rains the place becomes a.., Glue Pot!
Jay, generous?? Thanks but we could say that about all of us I think. I tried to find a place to put them as you have suggested, but obviously couldn't because it doesn't exist. It would be good to have a place like that. I thought it a bit weird just whacking up textures because i haven't seen it here before but it seems well received. thanks again. :)

I have tried to tile this one but I dont know if it is totally correct. I have some things to do and not time just now to look at a tut. maybe later.

You could host the textures on ImageShack.us and then provide links or thumbnails in the forums ;) They have a 1.5Mb limit and very large res so it's pretty good...and free
And yeah maybe not so lush now from the drought but at least there arent any large patches of barren red land in the centre to east coast of victoria (I dont think). Canberra is very green right now though.
