the most realistic way to do it would be to make a photograph of the floor boards you gonna model and just apply it to it (in case you rebuild something real). otherwise you could play with the wood texture in maya, but that is nothing i got any good results from yet :p

and if you do too,. apply some bump mapping.. have seen great results by doing that..
