streaks on my model

Hi all,

I've got a little problem with this poly model.
When i smooth it, black streaks appear, as you see on the picture. Any idea to avoid that ?

Check your edges (display polygon compontents boarder edges) make sure all the vertices are merged and normals all facing the same way. Before smoothing delete history then poly smooth. After the smooth apply the texture.

From the looks of him its a normal issue

I finally encircled the problem : it was due to a parameter i changed in the smooth tool.
