Can you render with brighter lights? Being dark makes it harder to see the details.

yay i'm special again!
it's not very pink though

very shiny car, must have used a lot of polish to get it so shiny :)

oo, here's a nice idea, you should put a massive dent in it when you're done ;)

murambi

its a good start, obviously better than me by a mile at making cars ... my crits would be is that there are alot of sharp edges, you may want to smooth then about alot more :)

i Like it :)

This looks good murambi,

Try to keep the Geo even and straight. Are you smoothing this model for rendering?

you might be right there, benny :p

but i never seen someone model a car with a giant dent in the side because some idiot parked too close and fully pushed the door out banging it into your car...wouldn't you just love to give that persona dent of your own? i'm kidding of course

murambi

Mayaniac: yeah was just testing how it would look but will definately smooth it
bennyK:i just picked up some hdri image its just a test render
i have realized i have a lot of unnecessary geometry especially at the front so im currently trying to fix that i will post updates as soon

The first thing I noticed in this last render were the headlights, you might want to extrude those edges inward to give it a lip so its not paper thin and gets rid of that jagged shape.

Chirone

hmm yeah, that head light looks like a sticker...

always take a crash as a sign to improve. Don't let it hold you back. If you learned anything the first time around, it should be how to model this bad boy. So you should be quicker, and be able to get smoother looking lines and flow much much easier.

murambi
27-09-2008, 04:11 PM
yeah i was much quicker than before it took me a day to catch up to what i had lost and i think it looks much better heres as a quick render

Its coming along. Though I think there are a few uneven areas like around the roof and the windows seem a bit concave, makes me feel like its crumbing a bit. Hope you don't have anymore PC issues anytime soon :x

younglion
04-10-2008, 10:43 AM
the body still need more attention cause like genny said the body is still bumpy uneven, and doesnt really look like the real car. my suggestion is take a look at pictures of the real car and compare it yours, also take each part of the car like the hood or bumper and concentrate on the modeling it closer to the real car. lastly just do the best you can its always a great learning effort...forgot to ask is this your first car?
