Thank you ....It's a good tool when it works, but alot of precision is involved in joining the curves:(

Nice going so far SilverSpawn...I have never done a car, they look too hard

Doh glad to hear you solved the problem. I was looking at the images and you were sure to mention that all the curves were connected.
Not having all the curves connected is one of the top reasons birail will fail. Also remember to rebuild your curves (or check the attributes and make sure they have uniform parameterization the start and end spans are whole integer values). As you cut and reconnect curves the parameterization can become non-uniform and this will create problems.
Also be sure the rails have equal spans and again that they have uniform parameterization.

just an update just need to add wipers then maybe re-do the mirrors then just need to add lighting then render :)

When I go to render my scene the scene actually looks broken from the rendered image when I use mental ray. Maybe If i show you it will be easier, added a blinn to the surface and also a hdri image on the dome to reflect the light, but it look like it is been rendered in a 8 bit computer.
!image is what I am trying to render 2nd is the actual render

ummm, what you see in the viewport isn't going to be what renders.
your blinn probably has a high reflectivity setting and so its reflecting your environment like a mirror.

I am confused as the render output implies you are using v-ray but you said you are using mentalray?

Yes I switched to V-ray by mistake then back over to mR, but they problem like I tried to explain is that when I render the scene out it looks slighlty pixelated but not sure if I have it on a different setting for it to appear like that???

press the 7-key and turn on viewport2 or hi-res rendering to get a better idea of how the environment lights are interacting with your materials. A ground plane would help if you are using final gather. I would tend to agree that you have the reflectivity set to high and the light intensity of the environment lights to high.

adjusted the reflectivity but 1 problems the lights seems to break up in spots over the edges of the car not sure if there is a setting to remedy this ???

what are your anti-aliasing settings?
Found them there was on .100 so played around a little still getting some artifacts around the edges or am I expecting too much ?

here what I have in (1) viewport 2 and the AA lowered and also in (2) high quality with the AA lowered

What is your render quality set to?
the 1 at top is viewport 2 and the 1 at bottom is high quality

Done...still got the artifacts around the edges were the light should be consistant it breaks up, in facts it looks slightly pixwlated in some areas.

set quality to production fine trace and see how that looks

Final Product, I was not that familaiar with the render setting after spending 30 mins messing around think I happy with how it turned out :)
