Cloaking Effect on Vehicle

I dunno if you guys have seen the trailer for Ghost Recon Future Soldier Live action but theres a few scenes where the soldiers cloak in order to get past enemies.

Its at 59 seconds, 1:13 minutes and at the end when they disappear (1:55 minutes)

My model is already textured, so how would i create this effect??

I would think this would be done in some thing like aftereffect or nuke, see link for one of many tut out there.....................dave
