Eyelids and eyes like cars movie

Hi I was wondering how i would do the eyelids and eyes like in that movie cars 1 and 2. I think i have worked out the eyes using 2d projection textures but i am stuck on how to do the eyelids. This would actually be a great tutorial to buy if someone did that kind of tutorial because i have not found a tutorial for this one yet.

I've never followed this tutorial but I found and bookmarked it a long time ago as I thought it looked interesting. Hopefully it helps.

Yeah i seen that but them type of eyes don't slide across the windshield though and also i dont have vray.
