Anybody know if Maya for Mac OS X uses the AltiVec/Velocity Engine at all?
Couldn't find this info anywhere on alias's site.
if it doesn't, wonder if maya would render fast as PCs on a mac, or faster even... definitely renders slower on my 1Ghz G4 than my AMD XP 1800+ (1.53Ghz) by a long shot in some situations.
kinda stinks, hate using windows, so many quirks makes me wanna shoot it...
just curious if anybody knew...
